The Church of Yahweh
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Wed, 11/19/2008 - 22:14I just stumbled on the very cool site: The Church of Yahweh. I especially liked the distinction between translating Yahweh as "I Am Who I Am" and "I Will Be What I Will Be." This highlights the relation and distinction between Being and Becoming as well as their identity at the deepest level. The page "God is Not God's Name" and the final picture of YHWH really hit me.

My Wonderful Wife Elizabeth
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Sat, 11/08/2008 - 12:51Friday after work I came home to a beautiful, delicious dinner of Beef Wellington. Everything about Elizabeth is wonderful, including frequent delightful surprises like this. I am very lucky and blessed.

The Semantic Web is Alive and Well
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 12:44I started poking around with Drupal's RDF module last night and ended up staying up VERY late. RDF is one of the languages supporting the semantic web and the semantic web may be, or already is depending on your view, the next great thing on the Internet. The idea of the semantic web is to leverage all the content on the web as structured, meaningful data.

Oneness
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Sun, 11/02/2008 - 19:33I just finished reading a web site that had a very powerful spiritually transforming effect on my. It's the site of a college friend I recently reconnected with on facebook. My friend, my in-laws, and many others, give this Oneness Blessing or Deeksha. I highly recommend it.

Glorius Day!
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Wed, 10/29/2008 - 20:04My body aches in a wonderful way from a full day. I took the afternoon off work and worked on our land: chainsawing and mowing. It's a beautiful fall day. Meditated outside in our little hidden clearing with the statue of Mary. A quick bite and then Taekwondo class with my daughter Clara taught by the wonderful Dean Goodale. I'd say it's only recently that I've recognized that hard work and physical exercise are some of the best things in life for the body and the spirit. Better late than never!

Demotivators
Submitted by Stephen Kelley on Fri, 10/24/2008 - 17:51If motivational work posters have ever rubbed you the wrong way or you just want a healthy, comical, sarcastic dose of practical reality, check out Demotivators at despair.com. I first learned of these when my wife bought me a note pad titled "Procrastination" with the message "Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now."
