Personal Note: I've been taking this class for about 11 months and love it. I believe that martial arts is one of the best types of exercise for holistic physical, mental and spiritual development appropriate for all ages. Dean is an excellent teacher and is assisted by several other black belts in the class of various ages. It's a great class for the whole family. I could go on and on about what a positive transformation this type of exercise has made in my life. If you're interested, email me and I'll tell you more. Better yet, give Dean a call and check out the class.

The Ardent Center

Last night at the Fairfield Art Walk I ran into Scott Terry, my best friend for many of my college years. He's doing very well, recently married, and running a successful holistic, counseling business, The Ardent Center. Scott is a very talented, perceptive and caring person. I skimmed his web site and was impressed that he has expressed deep, comprehensive wisdom in simple, practical terms to help anyone create profound, positive change in their life. Face to face time with him is even more powerful. In particular, the resources page of his site concisely explains the fundaments of living a deeply conscious and good life:

It's great to see Scott happy and thriving. I've always grown from my time with him and his web site. He's thinking of moving back to Fairfield and I think anyone working for positive change in their lives could benefit from his services. Check out his website and give him some excuses to move here!

Author/physician Shigeaki Hinohara

97 year old doctor on living long and healthy:

Energy comes from feeling good, not from eating well or sleeping a lot. We all remember how as children, when we were having fun, we often forgot to eat or sleep. I believe that we can keep that attitude as adults, too. It's best not to tire the body with too many rules such as lunchtime and bedtime.
