Important Update on Global Warming: From Michael McKay
31,000 scientists have signed a petition rejecting the assumption that human production of green house gases are causing catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere or disrupting of the Earth's climate.
This is 15 times the number of scientists that have been 'involved in the U.N.'s campaign to 'vilify hydrocarbons'.
There is NO 'consensus' of scientists proclaiming man-made Global Warming as being real. This claim by Gore and his ilk is false.
Instead there is overwhelming support among a constantly growing number of scientists who have rejected 'the global warming agenda'. Unfortunately, you should also note, that this article was not picked up by Main Stream Media (MSM) which continues to perpetrate this hysteria.
see: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/?pageId=64734
There have been numerous other recent postings that will help you, and others, carefully educate yourself against the dangerous global warming hysteria.
WHY is this hysteria dangerous? Two primary reasons:
a) it will keep the poorest of the World's poor in an even more desperate state of poverty, and
b) it will greatly reduce the living standard of every citizen of all Western Developed Nations. Think a) higher taxes, b) higher costs for food and energy, and c) 'turning back the clock to a darker age'.
Other valuable articles can be found by subscribing to the Cooler Heads Coalition at http://www.globalwarming.org/node/538 They will send you a weekly summary of relevant publications. I will not vouch for all that they reference. I encourage a critical approach to all data presented.
You should also be aware of newly proposed legislation (The Lieberman-Warner Global Climate Change Legislation ) that will directly increase your cost of living.
How much?
This is fresh and new and important: http://www.heritage.org/Research/EnergyandEnvironment/wm1930.cfm
Finally, I want to refer you to an insight made by Thomas Sowell ( The Vision of the Anointed (Basic Books, 1995), p. 113 ). He states that, in economic matters, there are no Solutions, only Trade-offs. Dr Boudreaux, of George Mason University paraphrases Sowell thus:
Thomas Sowell summarized the general point when he wrote that "there are no 'solutions'... but only trade-offs." He's correct. Math problems have solutions; resource-use problems present us only with trade-offs. For example, turning crops into fuel means a greater scarcity of food. If voters would start thinking realistically in terms of trade-offs rather than romantically in terms of solutions, many of the harmful choices that governments are making today might be avoided.
Please share this with all you care about.Michael McKayps much thanks to Matthew Fienup for forwarding the World Net article to me. His father is one of the 31,000 scientists who have signed this petition.
